Well, the key is to find the middle of the road between entertaining and engaging your guests while being able to stay productive. A successful bartender's key trait is multi-tasking!

Before attending bartending classes, I thought the job was all about entertaining and impressing the customers. Little did I know that just like any other profession, it's a serious job that requires concentration. Once a pretty girl was glued to my round of exhibition so to have her ogle at me, I did something out of my usual routine so I ended up breaking wine bottles. Besides embarrassing myself, it almost cost me my job....

Your friend said managers want young hot chicks. He was pertaining to the job but you only mentioned wanting to learning the craft so there's no age limit there. You can learn it anytime and once you have mastered it, go and apply in a bar. I'm sure they won't mind your age once they've seen your amazing exhibitions. Stay positive....

What do you mean by "Lucrative enough"? Bartenders make decent money, but just as in just about ANY profession, it really depends on the person. If you're a go-getter, you'd do good in any profession, not just bartending. However bartending definitely does allow you to earn more depending on how well you perform and hard you work.

You see I don't want your money or to buy anything from me or this site, but I do credit if you click on the exact URL I list here because it records ONLY /UNIQUE CLICKS from unique IP addresses, so if you don't click on the link exactly as it is you basically didn't do me any favors.

If I get enough UNIIQUE CLICKS I get something for free.

So if it's not too much trouble please click on the link exactly as it is, and then click on the other link that w...

I've seen my fair share of older bartenders - lots of manager will find the older the tender, the more responsible they are, and perhaps less prone to stealing.

At the end of the day there's bars for all types, and allthough there are some age/sex combos that would probably get you in a gig faster/easier, 39 years old certainly isn't TOO OLD for this industry.

I've known 19 year old bartenders in the Denver area, so it really boils down to how you can present yourself to the person in charge o hiring.

Ok so i got a problem.

My names Adam and im a 18 year old highschool grad. I have been looking at enrolling at the denver campus for some time now but i dont quite have it all figuered out. I dont know about you but it dosent sound very realistic that a bar will let someone serve others alcohole when he cant even drink it. I think my age would be the only thing that would keep me from getting a job. I mean im not some slut with huge titties but im also not a bad looking guy. So my question is, Is 18 to...
