Heritage Park Bartender shall have primary responsibility for bar planning, ordering, preparation and service for member of the Heritage Park Clubhouse Royal Palm Pub in accordance with state and local regulatory guidelines as well as with community governing documents. The Bartender shall participate in Pub bar-related catering services for the clubhouse as directed, and interface with additional bartenders and kitchen staff as necessary to ensure seamless communication between shifts. The Bartender shall communicate with the Pub Manager and/or Assistant Community Manager as necessary to provide timely sales and costing information. The Bartender position could be full or part-time position in the Clubhouse, or a combination thereof according to business needs as determined by the Assistant Community Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Ensure that all alcohol is selected, stored and served in a safe and healthful manner
• Ensure that all regulations regarding alcohol services are met, including but not limited to, age restrictions and refusal of service
• Ensure that portions are appropriate to the type of drink being prepared. Pours must be consistent and within limits specified by Clubhouse procedures and protocols
• Ensure that all readily perishable beverages shall be stored in appropriate containers at appropriate temperatures, with disposal dates clearly identified per clubhouse procedures
• Ensure that all staff engages in bar preparation and service observe personal hygiene and sanitation practices, which protect others from contamination
• Perform all duties in a safe manner. Exhibit professional demeanor and excellent customer service at all times. Emotional outbursts, rudeness, loud behavior or other inappropriate conduct shall be grounds for disciplinary action, up to termination
• The Bartender shall immediately notify the Pub Manager or Assistant Community Manager of any concerns in regards to bar cleanliness, contamination, or necessary equipment repairs
• Participate in, and coordinate bar services for any special events, which may include holidays or facility specific events
• Ensure certifications and required training specifications are current at all times
• As need arises, assist in the preparation and serving of menu items in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring the food items are pleasingly presented.
• Accurately and consistently handle and count cash and change to ensure the accuracy of charges and payments for food and drink service items.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 6 months experience working as a Bartender or a related field in food services is preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills
• Must possess a cooperative and friendly nature
• Knowledge of bar and inventory controls is desired

HOURS:
Part time non-exempt position. Regular schedule of 30-35 hours on Monday , Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday nights, and some day shifts may be required dependent on company need and workload. There may be occasions when it will be necessary to work various holidays.
